The LocationOne® Information System (LOIS) is an Internet-based application designed to provide state, county, metro, locality, building and site information. The advantages to using LOIS are numerous: Location One Information System

  • Provides information on Wisconsin communities and hotlinks to them
  • Addresses the numerous site selection factors in a one-stop web site
  • Meets the National Data Standards developed by the International Economic Development Council that includes approximately 1,200 unique data elements.
  • Provides statewide data and financial program information
  • Offers reliable, comprehensive data that can be quickly provided to corporate location professionals
  • An easy-to-use database platform providing location professionals one point of entry for all the information they need
  • Allows for GIS mapping capabilities

 


Major funding for the LOIS project has been provided by the Department of Commerce with additional financial support from Alliant Energy, Madison Gas & Electric, We Energies, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, Wisconsin's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and Xcel Energy.
