To see the listings realtors may have in your profile, go to User Settings and click on the Overview dropdown. Choose either Hide Building Access or Hide Site Access. Realtor names will appear just to the right of each listing, if applicable.
You can also use this screen to hide listings. Remember, this only affects your view of LOIS, not Forward Wisconsin's view.

KEEPING YOU IN THE LOOP ON LOIS
|
NOVEMBER 2006
|
|
|
Dear LOIS Administrator,
With just a few months left in 2006, we get a chance
to reflect on what we've accomplished so far with
LOIS and where we hope to be in 2007.
Over the past 10 months the LOIS Advisory Council
has taken your suggestions to heart and has
compiled a list of tasks for LOIS to complete. The list
for 2006 is nearly complete. See list of latest
enhancements below. The next meeting is
scheduled for December 5th in which the group will
be accepting suggestions for 2007.
Since July, I have been compiling a list of your
suggestions to present to the group at the next
meeting. If you have any additional comments, please
send them to me before December 1st.
Thank you.

LOIS Completes Enhancements
Additional Enhancements Scheduled
Enhancements recently made:
- PDF flyers (printable brochures) for State,
County, Metro sections are now up and running. We
need photos that represent your county. Please
e-mail them to Sharon.
- Page links are now available on the presentation
site. The new "Share E-mail Link" is located right next
to the Printable Brochure link. Now you can share any
page with someone by e-mailing them the URL.
Clicking on the link will automatically open your e-mail
program and place the link inside the body of your
message.
- Demographics data has been aligned with labels in
the state, county and metro sections.
- Labor force section updates - dropped the year
when no data is supplied on the presentation
site.
- The map message was updated which appears
when an ESRI report fails at 50 miles.
Additional enhancements to be completed in 2006:
- Streaming Video: New users will be able to
receive LOIS training online.
- Modify Date Filter: This feature will group listings
by date and notify users that listings will be archived
after a certain time period - possibly after 90 days.
- Document Center: An area for attachments will be
set up in each main admin section, which will allow
users to attach certain documents such as PDF's,
Excel files, Word documents and even hyperlinks.
- Google Maps on Advanced Search: Upon
performing an Advanced Search, visitors will be able
to view a map of any locality, building or site that
they are searching for.
- Map in Image Area: ESRI will be providing a
new map option in all sections which will essentially
place a map in the 4th image position that would be
clickable. Currently, only 3 images can be placed on
each Overview page.
- Page Headers: Profile headers will automatically
stretch to fit each page.
- XML Import: Super users will be able to import
data into the States, Counties and Metros/Regions
tabs using XML technology.
LOIS will be accepting suggestions for 2007 at the
next meeting which will be held on December 5th.
If you haven't done so already, please submit your
suggestions by December 1st!

LOIS Survey Coming Soon
Your Opinion Matters
The Wisconsin Buildings and Sites database, powered
by the LocationOne Information System (LOIS)
software, now houses over 3,200 available buildings
and sites from across the state. While it continues to
be a growing and successful resource, we are always
looking to improve the system.
Forward Wisconsin will be providing an opportunity for
you to give input regarding your experience in using
the Wisconsin Building and Sites database. In early
November, we will be distributing an e-survey to local
LOIS administrators and economic development
professionals to get their feedback on the database
and the LOIS software. We encourage you to take a
few minutes and complete the survey.
