Governor Doyle Launches Next Generation Plan

Since Governor Doyle launched his first Grow Wisconsin plan in 2003, our state has made great progress. We’ve repealed the tax on job creation, simplified and streamlined regulations, added thousands of new jobs and we’ve increased exports by 50 percent. We’ve also built the infrastructure we need for transportation and energy. We’ve upgraded and advanced different sectors of our economy, from manufacturing to agriculture and financial services. Major steps have been taken to seize on emerging sectors like bio-technology and the bio-economy, which puts us in a position to take the next steps to grow Wisconsin. Click here to read more about it.

Invitation from Gov. Jim Doyle

WHY ROCKWELL MADE WISCONSIN ITS HOME

"From a business perspective, it (Wisconsin) has a good business climate. The state has done a good job at making it a desirable place. We have a terrific ethic at Allen-Bradley (now Rockwell Automation Control Systems). From a personal standpoint, the people have always been warm and friendly. There's a very nice quality of life. There's a lot to do culturally and it's a city (Milwaukee) that's easy to get around in."

Don H. Davis,
Rockwell Chairman & CEO
